About Us

Reentry Essentials was established in 2017 with the charitable purpose of supporting individuals, families, and communities across the United States impacted by the criminal legal system.

Today, that work continues through the United Association of Reentry Service Providers (UARSP), a national initiative powered by Reentry Essentials that advances education, resources, and support for justice-impacted individuals and the communities to which they return.

Through the development of educational materials, partnerships with service providers, and engagement with communities nationwide, we work to expand opportunities and strengthen pathways to lifelong success after incarceration.

Mission Statement

To unite, strengthen, and elevate reentry service providers across the United States by fostering collaboration, advancing best practices, amplifying collective advocacy, and equipping organizations with the tools and national visibility needed to transform lives and communities impacted by incarceration.

Vision Statement

A nation where reentry service providers are united, supported, and empowered to ensure that every individual returning from incarceration has the opportunity to rebuild their life and contribute to thriving communities.
